It's 28 degrees outside and the forecast is for 4-7 inches of snow starting tonight, through tomorrow. The pressure is on to get outta town. The girls are still sleeping. The puppies are up. I'm starting to feel some palpitations at the thought of leaving Hugh. I'm sure he'll be fine, but it's hard to break the ties... My bag is packed, the girls are sortof packed with a few things still strewn around the living room. I have no idea what time they got to bed. They were still up playing Rock Band and Mario Cart with Kiel* when I left at 10:30. I hope they aren't crabby today! Sophie doesn't believe that we'll make it to Kentucky today. She says that her friends say that you can't drive through 4 states in one day. Seventh Graders, shows you what they know, or don't know! Well, I've got some last minute kitchen cleaning to do and then I'll get the girls up. The next entry will probably be from a Starbucks!
Love to all...
*Kiel is our nephew on Hugh's side who moved to Madison this year for college. We love him sooo much. He now has 'two sisters' he never knew he wanted!!!

We used to start driving South at 4 on Friday aft and get as far as the border of S Carolina by 5 or 6 the next morning. We'd stop to eat at a Shoney's, which is an all you can eat Southern greasy spoon. Grits, sausage, ham, bacon, you name it, it was like lead in the belly. With lots of coffee. Next stop would be Charleston.
